Accomplishments-Our School Profile
IB Competition is Tough...
The International Baccalaureate School is a school-with-in-a school, on the campus of Bartow High School, in Bartow, Florida. International Baccalaureate students enjoy a dramatically enriched learning environment with an international core curriculum and increased academic and extra-curricular expectations. Each year the IB School at Bartow accepts 70 new students from approximately 400 applicants coming from a pool of 11 public middle schools, 8 private/parochial schools and any number of home-schooled students in all of greater Polk County. Student achievement tests, middle school academic records and student essays provide a measuring stick for acceptance. The result is a small group (about 260 students) of highly motivated young people with phenomenal results.
