International Baccalaureate at Bartow High School
Parental Involvement
- The Friends of IB organization exists to assist the administration, faculty and students of the IB school and to inform parents about the IB program. A Steering Committee is formed each year that meets with administrators and faculty. In an on-going process this committee determines the needs for the school, sets goals for the year, and organizes the Friends of IB meetings that all members of our students' families are encouraged to attend.
- The School Advisory Council
(SAC) neetings are open to BHS and IB parents/guardians and interested members of the community. The meetings are usually held in the Media Center.
- B.E.S.T.T.
Best in Education for Students of Today and Tomorrow meetings are open to all interested BHS and IB parents/guardians. Among other activities, B.E.S.T.T. recognizes students for perfect attendance and for academic achievements, sponsors the Open House in the fall and the BHS Hall of Fame Ceremony in the spring. Meetings are held in the Media Center, start at 6 p.m., and last for one hour.
